Happy Birthday Cindy

March 25th, cold, snowy, rainy. Doesn't feel like it'll ever be warm again. It's Cindy's birthday, I wish she was here to celebrate with. It's hard to believe that she's been gone for almost 3 years. I miss my friend.

Robins are here, and I heard a Red-Winged Blackbird this morning. Saw a skunk yesterday! It may be cold, but it IS spring!

Where's Spring?

So, I'm going through the old pictures of the house being built last year and I'm ready for spring. There were many more signs of it last year at this time. I wasn't going to complain - it has been a beautiful winter, but I miss my porch, and the green of the trees and plants. And, I really want to get out there and fill out that landscape.

I had Diesel this week while Andrea and Kelsey were in NOLA with Erin & Zac. He was great and got me on the trails walking. It's wonderful to be able to walk out the door and be in the woods. Too bad he's got that beagle nose, I don't dare let him run on his own.
