Well, we're in! And after some false starts with Charter, we're up and running. The house is great, and is continuing to improve. The inside railings are going in this week and the painters are here touching up things. We should see the outside railings next week sometime.

We've both had a odd mix of emotions with moving into the dream house. It went by so quickly, and here we are. I think it's always harder to get what you want than to dream about something. We're still adjusting to the drive - Arno being two miles from work, me being 15 miles from the gym! The fall colors are absolutely stunning, and to have the preserve outside the back door is definitely my dream come true.

Landscaping is next - the sand pit has to go.

Moving day again

Well, here we go - yesterday we brought the first car loads of stuff over to the house, and Monday the movers will get the rest of it. We're alittle overwhelmed, hard to believe that the whole thing is done and we're actually going to live there.

So, this is good-bye for now. I'm going to take the computer down again, and our good friends at Charter have yet to install the pole that will bring cable to our house, so who knows how long it'll be before I'm back on (I'm betting 6 weeks minimum). Maybe this is good-bye anyway - we'll be working on landscaping next and I don't know how you'll feel about watching plants grow..... let me know if you want us to continue the saga....

Well, we're moving along now! Plumbing is done, all the mechanicals are in and the electrician is rushing to get the lighting installed. We're guaranteed a September 17th move in date. Next week they'll finish up on the little things, and clean the place up. We're still waiting for our railings, but the inspector is ok with a temporary permit until they are installed! The movers are lined up and I'll spend this week packing and cleaning.

Gary's being released from Mary Freebed and will be home on Tuesday! We're thrilled to have him back!
